Moment in Time
A moment in time, you're eyes staring into mine.
Your touch, so loving, delicate and fine.
That brief encounter healed my once broken heart.
And wanted me to be with you, no longer be apart.
We both lived lives with much regret and sorrow.
But i believe we can have a glorious tomorrow.
Ode to Rain
I like a quiet summer day.
When clouds above are oyster gray.
And rain falls softer then a sigh.
I stand out in themelting sky.
Cool water washing over me.
I'm like a pearl all shimmery.
Rough shell unhinged and open wide.
Letting all the sea inside.
When winter comes.
Dream but one dream when winter comes.
Dream but one dream of the past.
The light of the fire is in all our homes.
But the flames of the heart won't last.
For faint and few are the embers.
Snuggle up and keep on your gloves.
For what the winter heart always remembers.
Is the warmth of the heart that loves.
Walls.
You tore down my walls.
And opened my heart.
I never thought you would leave.
And i fell apart.
You think i would learn.
Because nobody stays.
But i wanted youre love.
And now my heart yearns.
Ive rebuild my walls.
Much higher this time.
Buried the key to my heart.
In the deepest mine.
Love.
There lies no salvation in hope or belief.
It's just there for youre mind's relief.
There is no reward for truth or kindness.
Your fooling yourself, much more than less.
There is no written course, no grand plan.
You make do as best you can.
There is no use in praying for things.
Because there are no devine creatures with wings.
There is no god who helps you along your way.
You waist your time with all that pray.
There is nothing coming from above.
The only thing that makes life worth living.
